IC8001 : specifies the requirements of an intellectual capital management system with respect to the management, measurement and reporting of value realisation.

Value realisation involves harvesting the level and degree of intellectual capital and the intellectual inventory of an organisation for commercialisation (in the form of revenue, profit, cash flow, cost reduction, quality and speed) when a transaction occurs.
